What to Expect
Youth counselling is tailored to the young person’s age and personality. Some teens want to talk; others open up through structured questions, activities, or practical tools. We focus on building trust first, then helping them understand what they’re feeling and what helps.
Where appropriate, we’ll include parents/caregivers in a supportive way — keeping the young person’s privacy respected while helping the whole system work better at home.
Why It Works
Young people often don’t need “fixing” — they need a steady space where they feel safe, taken seriously, and supported to build skills. Counselling helps them make sense of emotions, reduce overwhelm, and practise healthier responses in real situations (school, friendships, home).
“A steady adult and the right tools can make a huge difference.”
